Doctor Haley

We recently bought Haley a new Maisy book called "Doctor Maisy." In it, Maisy takes care of her stuffed panda bear, who is sick. Haley really took it to heart. On the way home in the car, Haley noticed Cookie Monster had a piece of granola stuck to him (I wonder how that happened?). She somehow drew the conclusion that Cookie Monster had gotten sick, and she had to take care of him.

"Mommy, Cookie get sick. He need to rest."

When we got home, Haley dutifully took Cookie upstairs to her bed, tucked him in with a kiss, and told him to get well soon. She preened over him for awhile, then went through our bedtime routine with him, which includes sitting by the door for a bit while Haley gets comfy and used to the dark.

What a good little doctor she is.
