Santa 09

Looks like Zoe is still not ready to trust the fat stranger in the red suit. She refused to get anywhere near Santa until I sat down with her. And even then, she spent most of the time hiding in the decorations to my right. She finally consented to sit on my lap long enough for a picture, but apparently smiling was out of the question!

Oh well. We anticipated this and wrote a note to Santa with a list of things she wanted to ask him for. You can see St Nick holding the note in the picture. She requested a ladybug nightlight similar to the one Haley has, another teddy bear (ANOTHER!?), and a drum. Haley asked for a sewing set, a Build-a-Bear (AGAIN!?), and a scooter to replace the one that got broken this past Fall.

Despite not making eye contact with Santa, and having me hand him her list, Zoe at least understands one thing about Santa. A few minutes after we left Santa, she turned to me and asked, "where are my toys?"
