Haley And Zoe's Web

Hello and welcome to Haley and Zoe's Web! For the uninitiated, this is a weblog (more commonly known as a "blog"), which is an online journal that is available for anyone to read. Haley and Zoe are growing up so fast that we wanted a way for all of you to keep up with their day-to-day advances. So pull up a chair and brace yourself for the cuteness to follow.

Zoe's 3rd Birthday

It might be cliche to say that our girls are growing up fast, but... our girls are growing up fast! Zoe celebrated her 3rd birthday a few weeks ago. On her actual birthday we gave her several options on where she wanted to go and what she wanted to do. She picked... the mall. (Sigh.) Actually, she didn't pick the mall to go shopping. Our mall has a kids play area that both girls enjoy playing in. It also helps that its right next door to the food court and they usually get something delicious after all that running and jumping.

Apparently to a 3 year old, there is nothing better.

The rest of the day was spent enjoying her new presents and having cake and ice cream after dinner.

The next day we held her party. At this age, the party is still an excuse for the grown-ups to get together more than for the kids. However, that is quickly changing. The kids had a great time playing with each other. Zoe has a number of friends that are her age to play with, and she was thrilled to see most of them at the party. Nicole slaved over two beautiful cakes in the shapes of butterflies. I did a pretty good job at the grill (if I do say so myself).

Zoe had one more special birthday celebration later in the week. As you all know from previous posts, she just started preschool this year. Nicole invited all her preschool classmates (and their parents) to have cupcakes at the park after class. When Nicole told Zoe what they were going to do, Zoe rushed out to the playground to announce to her peers, "Hey! We gonna have cakes inna park! Lesgo!" Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate. While many of the kids did come to have cupcakes and wish her a happy birthday, most didn't stay long due to the cold weather.

Still, she had a great birthday overall. Happy Birthday, kiddo!
