Haley And Zoe's Web

Hello and welcome to Haley and Zoe's Web! For the uninitiated, this is a weblog (more commonly known as a "blog"), which is an online journal that is available for anyone to read. Haley and Zoe are growing up so fast that we wanted a way for all of you to keep up with their day-to-day advances. So pull up a chair and brace yourself for the cuteness to follow.

I love you

I now know the feeling of having your heart melt at the words "I love you." Don't get me wrong, when Bill said those words for the first time, my heart went pitter-pat (still does), but true melting was reserved for my daughter. Haley has now begun spontaneously saying "I love you, Mommy" at random moments, and each time I am transformed into a weepy-eyed, silly-grin sap. She says it just the way I do: she leans in a little, gives me a half hug and says "I love you." It's wonderful.

She is a sweetie, alright. Today when I told her I was upset, she leaned in, gave me a hug and mimicking my best soothing voice, she said "it's okay, honey." It cracked me up to hear her call me "honey."
