Happy Birthday Kami
Phew. How did that old gal who lived in the shoe do it? We've only got TWO kids and we don't know what to do. Freetime has become a luxury reserved for the rarest of occasions.Which is why this blog is so late.
Last weekend was Michael's 60th birthday, and he was able to come out here and celebrate it with his new granddaughter. Michael and Vicki got in late Thursday night and after some time with us and the new baby, went to bed. Haley awoke the next morning to her Kami and Gigi, who wasted no time in spoiling her in the grand tradition of grandparents. The weekend was unseasonably warm and Kami and Gigi spent a large portion of the trip out in our backyard, much to the delight of Haley and the pets. Ahhh, the joy of perpetually having someone to push you on the swings.
The actual birthday celebration was Sunday night, where we barbecued and ate our fill of cake and ice cream. Michael's big gift was an incredible quilt from Vicki, Scott and Pamela, and us. The quilt was made up of images of the whole family, including pictures of Nicole and Scott when they were kids. Very cool.
