Haley And Zoe's Web

Hello and welcome to Haley and Zoe's Web! For the uninitiated, this is a weblog (more commonly known as a "blog"), which is an online journal that is available for anyone to read. Haley and Zoe are growing up so fast that we wanted a way for all of you to keep up with their day-to-day advances. So pull up a chair and brace yourself for the cuteness to follow.

End Of Stresstober Updates

I’ve been reporting on the big events we’ve had recently, but there are a lot of little updates too. Zoe’s has really started to showcase a love for animals. We show her a picture of a sheep and she points to it and says “Baaa!” Then we show her a picture of a cow and she points to it and says “Baaa!” But in either case she has a big smile on her face when she says it. She loved the petting zoo Nicole took her to, and her favorite books are all animal related. Speaking of, she constantly wants these books read to her. In particular a book called “Googlie Farm”. She’ll drag it over, hand it to me, crawl into my lap and demand, “Buu! Ree!” (Which we think is “book, read”.) Her walking is getting better every day. Actually, she rarely crawls at this point. And two of our biggest issues, sleeping and eating, have shown quite a bit of improvement just in this past month alone.

One of my favorite Haley things recently are her stories. A while back, you’ll recall that she dictated a (fictional) story in pre-school about us being in a car accident. This story creation is a weekly thing. The teacher gives them a subject and they make up the rest and draw a picture to go with it. Here are a few of Haley’s recent creations.

A Scarecrow…

scared the birds and crows away because he wanted to eat some corn. And then he ate some fish for breakfast because he went to sleep before his mom and dad told him to.

My Pumpkin…

came alive at night. He was getting ready for bed. He took his bath, wore his pajamas, brushed his teeth, put lotion on his lips and went to bed.

For Halloween I…

am going to be Belle for the day. I got a couple of pumpkins at the patch. I went with my cousins. It was Grumpa’s birthday. It was fun!

Nutty The School Squirrel…

went to find some food and went to make his poop. (Haley stops to giggle.) Then he went to find some people.
